Excellent home style Korean. We were in Seoul a couple of weeks ago and this meal was at least as good as anything in its range we ate there. The pork belly aged in jang was excellent; the kim chi jjigae was great with strong kim chi in it, and the haemul pajeon was excellent - crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with the mussels and shrimp and squid each retaining distinctive flavor and texture with none over or underdone. The decor is super charming- the restaurant is clearly a labor of love and it makes eating there very very pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful and welcoming. The menu had English entries, a benefit I don’t automatically expect from Korean eateries of this authenticity. Strongly recommended.
I came here on a Saturday with a couple friends~~ the environment is super homey, with a couple of bigger tables suitable for 6-8 ppl, and smaller tables as well. The bathrooms are super clean which is rare for Queens area. We ordered the aged pork belly, ginseng chicken soup, and seafood pancake. All of the food was super delicious. Tad bit pricey but it is mom and pop shop so understandable. Very delicious. No rush to finish food, and the chicken ginseng soup was the best I’ve ever had from any Korean restaurant. Check it out if you are in the area!
To start this off, my family and I agreed this was the best Korean food we've ever had! I wish we lived in the area so we could come here again sooner haha. Cute little mom and pop's place.. even the menus were homemade with little bits of information given for certain items! (No artificial foods or anything here btw.. all homemade!) Before getting food we were given 3 delicious side dishes. The drink I got was a sweet rice punch which was very good. But appetizer we had was a scallion pancake and it was DELISH. Perfectly crispy with tons of scallion. Then we had their broccoli and tofu rice dish, bulgogi udon, and regular bulgogi. It was all very flavorful with good portions! And at the end we were given three pieces of pineapple for free which was very nice. Staff was also lovely! And we had a very nice chat. ❤️
I found this restaurant on Google and decided to give it a try for takeout—and I’m so glad I did! The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The aged pork belly stood out the most—it had such a unique and rich flavor, completely different from any other Korean restaurants I’ve been to. The scallion seafood pancake. Usually, I find them too soggy, but this one was a game-changer! The top had a perfect crispiness, and the dipping sauce was well-balanced—not too sweet, which can sometimes be an issue. Overall, the flavors were spot on, and I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!
My partner and I always enjoy eating here and we always make it a point to bring people here to eat. The food always feels fresh and not overly salty like most restaurants, how your mom might make you food. I highly recommend coming here. Their cilantro pancake and marinated raw crab is amazing! I always look forward to the rotating drink the owner makes for you to enjoy with your meal, it’s unique and delicious and changes with the season!
